gcc 3.4 toolchain question

We use a modified toolchain based on gcc-4.0, as we need gcc to work
around deficiencies in the DS hardware.

To use a toolchain based on gcc-3.4 you would have to work out what
the equivalent modifications are.  This may not be easy.
