<P>now I remember why I had renamed _PATH_DEV to _gPATH_DEV in my original patch, its because its already defined and would default gpm to use /dev instead of writable /var/run</P>

<P>the patch just changes gpm.h to use _PATH_VARRUN instead of _PATH_DEV for the rest of the defines.</P>
